The Department of Oral Pathology and its sister concern Oral Biology had organized a guest lecture on “Awareness on Common Eye Disorders” on 12th Oct, 2023. Dr, Divya Nuthalapati, Associate Professor & Research Head, Department of Ophthalmology, Saveetha Medical College & hospitals. The webinar aimed to provide insights into prevalent eye conditions, including their causes, symptoms, and preventive measures. The speaker emphasized the significance of early detection for improved outcomes. She discussed various strategies, such as regular check-ups, for the effective management of eye disorders. The participants were highly engaged and gained a better understanding of the causes and risk factors associated with common eye disorders. This not only enhanced their knowledge of eye health but also empowered them to take proactive measures to maintain their vision. Consequently, the event effectively contributed to the promotion of awareness about eye care. Dr. S. Sandhya, a senior lecturer in the Department of Oral Biology at Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, moderated the session.
