The Department of Oral Pathology and its sister concern Oral Biology organized a national virtual webinar on “Biodegradable Mg Alloy for short term Implant Applications” on May 5th, 2022. The speaker is Dr. M. Kalaiarasan, MPhil, PhD, Research Fellow, Department of Chemistry, Anna University, Chennai.

The presentation was very much informative and dealt with lots of information regarding biomaterials. Also, information regarding magnesium alloys and along with chitosan molecule how it acts as a bio coating for implants were discussed in detail.  The students and faculties from various colleges around the state attended the webinar. The participants were highly satisfied with the content provided to them and we received excellent feedback from the participants.
